Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Data Scraper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing data scraping tools, extracting data from various websites or databases, and ensuring that collected data is accurate, clean, and structured for further analysis or business use. You will work closely with data analysts, software developers, and other teams to understand data needs and deliver high-quality data solutions.

Job Type: Full-Time (Night-Shift).
Location: DHA Phase 6, Lahore.
Salary: 50k – 60k
Schedule: 7:00 pm to 4:00 am

Job Responsibility:

-Extract and collect large amounts of data from websites, APIs, and databases in an efficient and scalable manner.
-Clean and structure raw data to ensure its accuracy, completeness, and usability.
-Monitor web scraping processes to identify and resolve issues promptly.
-Ensure scraping activities comply with website terms of service, privacy policies, and data protection regulations.
-Collaborate with teams to understand data requirements and deliver relevant datasets.
-Perform data analysis to validate and ensure the quality of the extracted data.
-Stay updated on the latest data scraping techniques, technologies, and trends.

Job Requirement:

-Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or equivalent for scraping (e.g., using libraries like -Beautiful Soup, Scrapy, or Selenium).
-Experience with web scraping tools, APIs, and database querying.
-Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and web technologies.
-Knowledge of data manipulation and cleaning techniques using tools like Pandas or Excel.
-Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
-Ability to handle large data sets efficiently and work with cloud-based solutions if required.
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience working with proxies and CAPTCHA-solving techniques to scrape data from protected sites.
-Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR) and compliance issues.
-Experience with task automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools.

Education:

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
